It was a very late minute trip.
Jinru saw this deal on deal.com.sg at S$68 per person (inclusive return ferry trips) at the new Harris Hotel Batam Center. ! The hotel was very new and the staffs were very young and friendly. One good thing about the hotel is it's just across a mega mall and beside the ferry terminal.
The infinity swimming pool. Quite nice but it is directly in front of the dinning hall so it is kind of weird to swim there with everyone looking at you.
We then went to the shopping centre just across the hotel.
And so we had the MUST HAVE food which every singaporean will eat when they go to BATAM. A&W!!!
The prices was almost the same as in Singapore of around S$6.
The chicken and curly fries were very nice but the Root Beer Float was disgusting because they did not put in any ice and the drink was not cold at all. :(
We had signed up with Isabella Massage House earlier and they provide free unlimited transport for us when we sign up for their 3 hours package (S$90 for 2 people) . Pretty good deal!
So we had arranged for them to pick us up from the mega mall across our hotel at 3pm to the Nagoya hill shopping centre.
Actually there was nothing at Nagoya shopping centre. Almost like Far East Shopping Centre in Singapore.
As we have told Isabella Massage House to pick us up at 5pm to send us to the seafood restaurant, we had almost 2 hours walking around the shopping centre with nothing to do/see at all.
In the end we spent our time shopping in the supermarket in Nagoya buying toiletries and INDOMEE- MEE GORENG. We bought 40 packet at S$6. It was a good deal and we can see almost all singaporeans were holding cartons of indomee-mee goreng back.
When 5 pm finally came, we went to Isabella Massage House which is just a road across the shopping center. We asked the receptionist to recommend seafood restaurant to us. And they told us Wei Wei Seafood is not bad and cheaper than Golden Prawn Seafood.
The food was pretty cheap and average. We did not felt there was any dishes which was very nice. We paid around 40 SGD for 4 people (We met 2 Singaporeans at Isabella and we decided to go together).
We had earlier told the driver to pick us up at 730pm. However, we could not find him and felt abit worried if he forgot about us. We decided to wait at the road side and at around 735pm thankfully, another Isabella car came to pick us up.
We had a 3 hour massage at Isabella but we felt it was not that worth. The massager did not use much strength and they spent like half an hour massaging a part of the body. We felt we could have gone for the one hour massage instead. The best massage we had was still in Laguna Redang Resort in Redang.
After the massage, Isabella got a driver to send us back to the hotel.
The next morning we just woke up late and had missed the breakfast. We went for lunch instead but the lunch was not that fantastic. There were only a 5-6 dishes to choose from.
After lunch, we went back to the mall across to walk walk and waited till 7pm before we went to take the ferry back to Singapore.
Overall, we felt it was a waste of money because there was nothing much to see and we spent like 300 SGD total for the whole trip.
